3 and 0! Congratulations, Stingrays!

It's hard to believe that we are at the half-way point for summer swim. We've still got Glendale (8th), the friendly meet against Elizabeth Lakes (15th), and our last meet against George Wythe (24th) to go -- additionally, families with 8&U please don't forget to declare for the Mini Meet on July 13th.

It was hot on the deck -- and in the pool -- despite those obstacles, Stingrays swam very well. We won 3 out of 4 relays, and that 200 Men's relay was incredible -- pushing far beyond their entry time and making it an incredibly exciting race! I've attached the time improvements so you can see just how much time your swimmers are dropping (insert dancing emoji here...ha) -- and congratulations to the following swimmers for making their city meet cuts:

  • Rhodes Lomax (7): punched her ticket to City Meet in Free and Back
  • Brooke Gordon (12): punched her ticket to City Meet in Fly
  • Elliott Phillips (8) punched his ticket to City Meet in Breast
  • Katelynn Miller (11): Added Freestyle to her City Meet Cuts
  • Bryson Neveaux (6): Added Backstroke to his City Meet Cuts
  • Hudson Kulzer (9): Added Backstroke to his City Meet Cuts
  • Will Warren (18): Added Breaststroke to his City Meet Cuts

Over the next two weeks we will be working on cleaning up turns, stroke work, and starts. We hope as many of you as possible can join us. I know many of you will be headed out for vacations -- we look forward to having you back.

See you around the pool!

Lisa
