Way to fight last night!

I loved all of the cheering and clapping -- way to help keep everyone battling until the very end. While our undefeated streak came to an end -- you showed how much heart and fight you have, even against difficult odds of having so many swimmers out due to last minute illnesses or vacations.

We had some incredible time drops last night as the hard work your swimmers have been exhibiting in practice starts to show up. We had swimmers complete their first legal 100IMs and 25 or 50 fly and breast of the season. Please see the attached Personal Best times to check out all of the best swims! But we aren't done yet!

Congratulations to:

  • Axton Parker who made is 25 Free City Meet Cut!
  • Mckenna Behan is now also qualified in butterlfy
  • Avery Bethel is now also qualified in Breast
  • Alex Mowery is now also qualified in Free
  • Riley Daube is now also qualified in Fly

These last two weeks of practice we'll be working to try to help give each swimmer their best opportunity to qualify for City Meet, as well as work with our rising 7-year-olds and 9-year-olds to prepare as many of them as possible to swim at least three, and hopefully all four strokes. Our team's strength is not build on the backs of a few fast swimmers -- it's built upon every swimmer's individual improvements and success. We cannot continue winning without everyone learning to become the best overall swimmer they can. Let's normalize excellence -- even in "rec" league.

Preparations for Wendwood are underway. Please make sure you've declared your swimmer for Wedwood, Poquoson, and Windy Point.

We'll see you at the pool tomorrow!
