First, Poquoson ... second, James River ... three meets to go! (And next week's practices)
I've been meaning to write this email and tell you how great the kids are swimming -- I guess there is no time like the present!
We are adding City Meet Cuts at every meet -- and more and more swimmers are inching ever closer. Last year, we ended the season with 49 City Meet Cuts and 57 that were near misses. This year, with three meets (and 3 weeks) left to go, we have 42 City Meet Cuts and 69 more that are near misses.
There's still a lot of swimming to do -- and I have zero doubts that more swimmers will punch their ticket to City Meet when we face off against Kiln Creek on the 11th.

Next week, we will be running practices a bit differently -- we'll spend about an hour in groups working on stroke-specific work -- or starts/turns. There is *NO PRACTICE* on Monday the 4th of July. Enjoy your day!
Starting on Tuesday, Practice #1 will run from 7:30-9:00 (it takes about 15 minutes, if all hands work together to put the lane lines/flags and on starts day ... blocks) into the pool. Swimmers in Practice #1 are:
